A beautiful mountain town. This is a school that has gorgeous scenery, but not much to do if you're not into hiking or doing outdoorsy things. The academics and the athletics are great.

Dahlonega is a quiet, pleasant place to live, with beautiful mountains and waterfalls. The campus is fairly small, so there are no long commutes between classes, which you share with many of the same students every time, giving a very familiar atmosphere. The overall effectiveness of teaching varies among teachers, with some excellent and some falling below the bar.

Dahlonega, home of UNG, sits at the base of the smokey mountains and has some of the most beautiful scenery of any college town in Georgia. The class size is typically very small, which is great because the professors actually know you by name and care enough about you to help as much as possible. The student body has a very small town mentality, which means we actually look out for one another.

University of North Georgia is a great school with great, helpful, and caring teachers; it is hard to find professors who genuially care about their students and their education. University of North Georgia always has many activities, clubs, and sports that you can be a part of, even at some of the campuses they offer sororities and fraternities. All the faculty and staff are very helpful when it comes to questions about certain paperwork, future career options, class schedules, major changes, and overall making a great learning atmosphere.

This school has its ups and downs but overall it is a good place to begin one's college experience. The classes are limited but they are also small which allows for personal relations and one on one time with professesors. The school is great for students who are intimidated by large university settings or want to go somewhere where classes will be less intense.

UNG is great for student wanting a small-class size environment. The professors are willing to work with you as long as you are willing to put forth effort and come to class. Overall great environment in a busy town!
