In my Freshman year I learned the hard way that High School study habits don't make the cut here and I am better for it. UPS makes you work hard for what you want to achieve, but the professors also know how to make it interesting. I was worried that college courses would be straight lecture then hours upon hours of studying later, but here it is a very cooperative learning process. There is a lot of class discussion and plenty of office hours to further talk things over with your professor. I never thought I'd be able to learn...

University of Puget Sound offers a very welcoming and engaging community, which makes it very easy to feel comfortable on campus with all the upperclassmen and professors encouraging new students to be involved and part of the community. From browsing the course bulletin, and from experience taking courses, the course offerings are varied and unique in topic and design - different than your standard college courses. Located in Tacoma, WA, UPS is located in a quiet, safe, and beautiful neighborhood, with lots of opportunity to be outdoors and enjoy the environment.

A school that prioritizes their image above all else. They sell this "liberal" image and pretend that they are a great place for people from marginalized backgrounds. Great place for rapists to continue raping, for racists to continue to being racists. Don't worry if you fit into either of these categories-- absolutely nothing will happen to you and the faculty will be on your side.

The University of Puget Sound is ideal for someone who is looking for a closely knit environment. The people are friendly and outgoing, and the academic life is rigorous but manageable. The food is good, although it does get a little repetitive. Overall this university is a good match for someone who is looking for a small liberal arts college, with small classes, and a healthy atmosphere.

Small liberal arts college, but most students major in sciences rather than in humanities. People do their own thing. Campus is small but people are very into themselves.

The atmosphere at the University of Puget Sound is supportive and close knit. Because of the small size of the University, the professors are able to take time with each student to personalize each student's education based on his or her academic needs. The University of Puget Sound is a wonderful place to build lasting connections with other students, and establish a strong academic background.

University of Puget Sound has a beautiful campus. It may be expensive but if you are looking for a place where you can talk to your professors one on one, this is it. The community is not very diverse but it is welcoming to everyone.

The academic atmosphere at this school is amazing. The teachers really care about their students, and take interest in how their student are progressing in the class. One thing is that it is mentally challenging, but the benefits are extremely rewarding.
