There are many sports (division, intramural, and club) to be involved in that are fun. Intramural sports are done for fun and not the commitment, and gives you the chance to win the intramural champ tshirts. Resident assistants, clubs, and student government puts on events weekly and almost every weekend such as light up yoga, field night, springfest, amongst other things. There are parties and bar life on the weekend too. This school is really low key with people doing whatever they want: the parties are extremely fun and super great, but if thats not your scene you wont feel like you're missing out because there is usually other things going on or restaurants/downtown in walking distance from campus.

Scranton is commonly seen as a party school, but you do not need to go out three nights a weekend to have fun. Clubs and organizations hold events every weekend night, so there is always something to do on campus. There is always a movie playing somewhere, or a musician coming through, or a game night being hosted, or a culture being celebrated. There are frequently organized trips off-campus, to movie premiers, nearby amusement parks, and New York City.

I won't beat around the bush...Scranton is a pretty big party school. They say, There ain't no party like a Scranton party! Other than that, with a Scranton student ID, students can ride the bus for free which takes them to several shopping areas that also have movie theaters. There is also a mall within walking distance as well as many restaurants. The University also offers many clubs and sports for students to get involved in.

The campus has groups that organize activities to do. Even your RA's have activities for you. Some cost money but I have never paid for anything more than $20 and then I got half my money back anyways. If you join clubs they always have events. Not only are there activities by the school you can take the bus out of town to go to movies or you could walk right off campus and find something to do. I can honestly say I am NEVER bored.
