Every time my friends from home complain about their colleges, my friends from USC and I can never relate because we would never dream of going anywhere else. I find out something new and interesting about USC almost every day, whether it be a new shortcut, study spot, restaurant, secret, club, or event; there is always something to explore. Columbia, South Carolina, home of the Gamecocks, is known as "the city of dreams," and I couldn't agree more.

The University of South Carolina has become a home for me since I started attending. The professors in my major are passionate and always helpful. There are more than enough social activities to keep you busy on and off campus.

The campus at USC is so beautiful! It gives you a nice homey feeling! It is very hot, but the college seems worth the sacrifice from what I saw.

I have called USC home for three years now, and I cannot begin to explain how much I truly enjoy being a Gamecock. Even though the school size can be daunting at first, it is very easy to find a niche and make it your home. I have made some of the best friends here while also getting a top notch education!

This school looks like it would be a good fit for me but I'm a little unsure about the size. I know that there are a lot of students that attend USC and I'm worried that it will be hard to get to know people. I'm also worried that with so many people on campus that it will be unsafe so, any advice would be helpful.

As a USC gamecock you get the best of many worlds; you are in a capital city that can have a small town feel and as a gamecock even though you are at an SEC school with tens of thousands of others, you can often get a small campus feel through the easily accessible campus. With nearly 40% of students coming from out-of-state areas, it is certain that 4 years at this school will be a unique experience.
