The University of St. Thomas is a 4-year private institution and the only Catholic university in Houston. St. Thomas confers undergraduate degrees in over 35 academic majors and the university has been designated an Hispanic-serving institution. As a Catholic university, UST celebrates mass seven days per week in the Chapel of St. Basil. During the school year, several UST students land internships with the Texas Medical Center which is located a short distance from campus.
