The food itself is pretty good. Parks has great food so if you live there thats very convenient. Ottawa is pretty good as well, and so is South Dining. I personally have never been to International House for food, but people say that it is good too. Croutonz is a restaurant in the Union that is like Subway but with salads and it is amazing. There is also Magic Wok, Agave, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Phoenicia which sells pretty good Greek food. The problem with the dining halls and restaurants is that the hours are pretty terrible. You should always make sure you have food in your dorm because a lot of the times, especially when it gets late in the day or if you have to stay at school for a holiday, the dining halls will be closed.

I eat lunch at Croutonz (the salad bar) nearly every single day, because healthy options are a bit difficult to find. However, just between last year and this year, I have found that UT is making a conscious effort to improve their menu and offer more health items--I'm impressed! I wish there were more options to use meal swipes instead of just dining dollars (such as Subway, Magic Wok, and Pizza Hut), but places like Croutonz, Agave, and the dining halls offer meal swipe options, so that is nice. I love South Dining for its variety and quality of food; plus, it is in close proximity to my residence hall, so I can grab a quick meal. There is a dining hall in International house, so when I lived there I would grab dinner downstairs. The food is not as great at Ihouse as in South Dining or Ottawa, but the grilled cheese sandwiches are great, and the staff was very nice. The convenience stores are a great option for a quick bite to eat in between classes, and once again, they have meal swipe options to allow you to make the most out of your meal plan. UT's dining services have certainly improved over the time I've attended UT, and I can't wait to see where they're headed.

For the most part the food was okay, I stuck to chicken fingers and chicken patties with pasta every once in a while. Just to warn you the freshman 15 is very real. UT believes in sweets, and there is always some event or dining hall that's serving all kinds of sweets.

We have many different sororities and fraternities both professional and social, and we offer coed fraternities. Greek life is not everything with Toledo, but many people participate in it. Greek life participates in many different philanthropies and they do a lot for the city of Toledo and the University.

Get involved. The Greek community is nothing like it's portrayed in movies and shows. They are very supportive of those around them.
