If you are looking to attend UVF, do not hesitate to get to know people. There are so many connections you can make and life-long friends you can find that will help you grow spiritually and will help build you up through your journey.

Get grants/scholarships!! this school isn't cheap. If you are under 24 you can get parent loans but after that you are on your own. This school offers work study but jobs are very limited and go fast. Make friends and work hard.

My advice to prospective students would be to call the Forge and speak to a Financial Aid coordinator as they are very helpful in navigating the Financial Aid process and will make sure you have applied/signed up for all the Financial Aid you are eligible for. Also, don't wait until the last minute to get all of the paperwork in. The quicker you turn all of that in, the easier check-in will be on your arrival/move in day. Finally, I would advise students to get connected! Join the Class of 2019 (or whatever your year would be) page on Facebook and say Hello! These connections and friendships you will make are going to be life-long relationships with people who will love, encourage, and advocate for you!

To get far in this school, you must be willing to challenge yourself academically. The teachers will not do this for you. All of the teachers are wonderful people who will enrich your life if you let them, but they are not all perfect professors. (Of course, no college has perfect professors.) Also, this is not a school of math or science: if you're looking for that, this is not the place for you. Our strengths are in Digital Media, music, ministry and teaching majors.
