The sciences and mathematics at UVM are challenging and I learned a lot from the professors. Overall, the other classes were moderately challenging and the professors were knowledgeable.

This school seems to be more of a party school than other schools in the northeast and there are many social cliques. Academics are okay with smart professors who do not really know how to teach that well and students who are somewhat studious. I'd only come here if you receive a lot of scholarship money.

Extremely liberal school in a beautiful setting. The mediocre academics and terrible dorms/food are not worth the obscene tuition rates. Even with scholarships and the lure of the Champlain Valley, it's a waste.

The campus is really big at UVM, but it is also very beautiful. There are a lot of opportunities around to hike, bike, ski, and be outdoors in general because a lot of students are outdoorsy. Another great thing in terms of academic is that liberal arts is incorporated in major requirements.

I really enjoyed my first year at UVM and eagerly await to begin my second year. The campus seems big at first but once you find your place it feels very home-like and easy to navigate. I have met some of the best people, students and professors, here at UVM.

The University of Vermont is a school of academic excellence in a small, unique city. There is always something to do on and off campus, and is an especially good fit for people who do winter sports or hike. UVM has a friendly and accepting campus environment and I would recommend my school to anyone!

This school is expensive, but worth it. It is big enough to blend in, but small enough to still make a name for yourself, if desired. There is a big push for environmental protection, and for student diversity.
