I seem to learn something new everyday! Whether it's in class or one of the many different clubs or events offered here, the University of West Georgia teaches its students something important everyday. They have an abundance of classes to take depending on your interest and the teachers are extremely helpful and actually want to help! You don't find that at every school.

UWG has a beautiful campus but it is kind of spread out a bit. The school has friendly professors that will help you if you ask and use the office hours as they will appreciate it and recognize you later. the school has a nice vibe and it's not hard to make friends and don't be afraid to say hello to someone next to you in class!

  • Jan-06-2016 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

When I visited West Georgia, the atmosphere felt very welcoming, and the tour guide was very informative and polite. The dorm rooms appeared somewhat spacious depending on the organization of the furniture. I also liked the athletics facilities such as the gym and rock climbing wall.

The University offers a good opportunity to take core classes. Most people (at least those I am aware of in the physics department) plan on transferring to Georgia Tech. Overall my first semester was a positive experience.

The University of West Georgia is full of helpful staff and resources. Every professor I have had has gone above and beyond what is expected of them. Also there are many activities that allow students to be involved in the school and the community.

West Georgia is what you make it out to be, they have tons of resources that can help you out. The gym is nice, everything is just about clean. The dorms seems nice, it could be a little better.

West Georgia is the perfect school for suburban students. Carrolton is a cute little town, and UWG is a lively little campus. Despite its size, this university is huge on forward thinking and big ambition.

UWG Online is an extremely disorganized, confusing, and poorly designed program! I am currently a UWG graduate school student - who has taken face-to-face, hybrid, and 100% online courses from the University of Georgia and North Georgia College with no difficulties. However, for my 2 years at UWG online I have felt like uneducated, imbeciles are running the registration office, bursar's office, financial aid office, and designing/updating the D2L content/interface. I would not even encourage my worst enemy to take 100% online courses at UWG!
