The University of Wisconsin Colleges is a multi-campus institution that prepares students for success at the baccalaureate level of education, provides the first two years of a liberal arts general education that is accessible and affordable, and advances the Wisconsin Idea by bringing the resources of the University to the people of the state and the communities that provide and support its campuses.
I loved being at URock, there were always fun things going on around campus through out the year with numerous events. All of the professors are incredibly nice and helpful. It was very easy to make friends and it was kind of like high school all over just minus the drama!
Read MoreMany have told me they could never come to this campus because it is so big, I can't help but laugh and think how small it seems to me. I met the craziest yet somehow the most studious friends my freshman year at the dorms. We walk down by the Monona Terrace and the water is still and the lake is at ease and that small town vibe is all around you. But then come saturday the town is rocking inside Camp Randall and although you might not know the person next to you--it really doesn't matter because the school spirit is so great. When the football games are away, you can bet that I absolutely love rollerblading to State Street on saturday. I grab a bite to eat, listen to a fiddler on the sidewalk and watch a man use spray paint to create art on a piece of paper and sell it for much less than it looks worth.

The people are very nice and it is really an opportunity to grow as an individual and as a team player. I was never involved in high school, but I jumped right into two clubs my first year at Waukesha, I was even an officer my first semester!
