Bring a thick winter coat! The winter was brutal, and you don't want to be cold walking to your 7:50am class! Also, with new freedoms as a college student leads to more responsibility. Choose your actions wisely, and remember why you are at college.

I recommend living in the freshman dorms because that is where it is the easiest place to meet new people. Join clubs and use the Outdoor Connection Center to your advantage. The center rents rollerblades, tents, cross country skis and basically anything you are looking for to students for a low fee. It is a great way to stay busy especially in the winter when it gets dark early. Get involved in activities because La Crosse is a great place and when you are involved that is where you get the most opportunities to see that.
