University of the Ozarks is a Presbyterian-affiliated, liberal arts university that was founded in 1834. Located in Clarksville, Arkansas, at the base of the Ozark Mountains, the university is the oldest in the state and offers 59 majors and minors to choose from. The university features a LENS Program that pairs a major with two minors in an effort to challenge students to “synthesize and connect” across multiple fields of study. Students can also opt to take advantage of the dual degree program maintained through partnerships with two institutions in France. University of the Ozarks’ campus features the Jones Learning Center, which specifically assists students with learning disabilities, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Outside of academia, students can get involved in the 19 varsity sports offered or take advantage of the university’s location through Ozarks Outdoors trips.
University of the ozarks is a great place to meet new people and to get involved. They have several services on campus for helping you in classes, and the teachers will even meet with you. They hold intramural sports for people that don't have time for an actual sport, the college defiantly cares about its students.
