The University of the Pacific is the oldest, private university in California and has admissions that are more selective. The main campus is located in Stockton, and the university operates two satellite campuses in Sacramento and San Francisco, which provide 80 undergraduate degrees throughout the 11 schools and colleges backed by Pacific's 4-year Graduation Guarantee. The Stockton campus features the DeRose University Center, or "the DUC," which is home to the Calaveras Coffee House and The Lair, an on-campus pub.
