The campus has its own security and has an text and email notification if something is wrong they can use these types of communication to get the officers to the problem.

    In three sentences

I would give the University of the Southwest a 8 I love everything about the school. They has small class size so the teacher has time to help and work one on one if you need it. Everyone is really nice and willing to help. There are many different teams and clubs that people can join if they wanted to. I love that this University is a Christian University and everyone you run into is not scared to let you know what they believe and why. They are ranked in the top 3 in the Mental Health Counseling Program. The only thing that led me to take a few point is the price I do not believe that college should cost as much as it does. the price of the school is the same as Big 12 school. That is a little high. I do think they do an awesome job over all. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good christian university that has both face to face and online programs.

    Bang for the buck

USW is an extremely underwhelming college where it does not seem as though anyone really communicates with anyone else. If you have questions, you might have to address someone completely different than who you would think, in order to get an answer. Financial aid advisers seem to be rather rude and take quite a while to reply to e-mails, if they bother to reply at all. From what I have read elsewhere, it also seems as though this college's credits are non-transferable. There is an enrollment fee, but they don't tell you about that up front, either.,

    What to do for fun

If you are an online student here, just do whatever you wish for fun.

    Food and Dining

No idea. I attend USW online.

    Dorm Life

No idea. I attend USW online.

    Academic Rigor

Most of the professors seem to be highly educated and knowledgeable about their fields. Assignments can be challenging, but not impossible to complete.

    Tips for prospective students

If you are wanting to attend an online college, the best I can say is that this one is only alright. Most of the online professors are friendly and easy to talk to, but it can be difficult to get online students to even respond to you on discussion boards if you do not fit in with and have several things in common with them. Advisers do not seem to communicate with each other very well and it can sometimes take months to hear back from your financial adviser. Student and retention advisers are always willing to communicate, but financial aid is not. There are too many departments to deal with when you have questions about your financial aid and when you do get answers to your questions, those answers just make more questions arise. I personally would not recommend this college to anyone, but there seem to be many people who do enjoy it regardless.

    In three sentences

The online professors are usually rather willing to communicate. Online classes are pretty decent, though it is sometimes difficult to get other online students to communicate with you, even on the forums/discussion boards, where they are supposed to respond. Student advisers and retention councilors are willing to communicate. However, financial advisers are not that great.
