University of Huddersfield Stats, Info and Facts

Founded in 1825, the University of Huddersfield has grown to become Times Higher Education University of the Year 2013. We have been rated by QS Stars as a 4 star university with the highest five star ratings for teaching excellence, internationalisation, student facilities, access and employability.

Huddersfield is the only university in the UK where 100% of the teaching staff are Fellows of the Higher Education Academy* (*permanent staff, after probation: some recently appointed colleagues will only obtain recognition in the months after their arrival in Huddersfield, once they have started teaching.), so you will be taught by highly qualified teaching staff, and over 40 of our groups of courses have been recognised by professional bodies including ACCA and IET. 100% of our students undertake professional work experience during their studies - we are in the Top 10 in England for paid work placements (HESA DLHE data 13/14) - and the University works with some of the biggest and best companies in the UK and overseas such as Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Panasonic, Red Bull F1, Unilever, BBC and DHL. As a result, 94.9% of our students go on to work and/or further study within six months of graduating (Destinations of Leavers Survey 2013/14).
