The cafeteria has unlimited swipes if you have a meal plan and it includes a salad bar, dessert center, ice cream bar, pizza bar, and sandwich bar. During breakfast, they have a waffle bar. There is other dining, which costs money or you can use the money on your student id card that you get from your meal plan. There is Subway, the Pioneer cafe, Common grounds (coffee, smoothies, etc.) and a little snack shack located where all the classes are. All of these places are on campus. Then there is an IHOP and Dunkin' Donuts which is walking distance from the campus.

Everyone knows that hands down one of the most important parts of choosing a college is the food, even if you don't admit that in your college search. It seems like our cafeteria messes up what you didn't possibly think could be messed up, but every once in a while pull of a really amazing meal. It's hit or miss. There have been days where we live off cereal and the sandwich/wrap bar. But other days, you can't decide what you want to eat because everything served is their best. The salad bar would be better if there was fresh salad. The hit or miss aspect applies to the Sodexo employees as well. There are some that are the sweetest people. They are happy to serve you, take interest in your life, and always smile. Others, well let's just say you better learn who to stay clear of. Don't worry though, the chocolate milk, ice cream, and deserts are second to none and as much as students complain, when you go home and don't have access to the caf and all their food, you'll be ready to go back! A great positive is that there always seems to be some event somewhere on campus that they're giving away food! Especially finals week. Never turn down free food, especially because it's usually really good. The pioneer café is good and has plenty of choices! Subway isn't a bad option either. Both are a little pricy, but nice when you need a break from the caf, or have a late night in the library.

Sodexo could definitely be worse, and they're making improvements each semester, so it's gradually getting better. Avoid the fish always.

Our dining hall offers a nice variety of food which is also surprisingly very good! We also have an on campus Subway, Pizza Shop, Coffee Bar, and Smoothie shop. For students 21 and over there is also an on campus pub.

The cafeteria tries to provide ethnic and diverse foods often. Their salad bar is the best. There aren't many options, though.

The food is mediocre. I believe breakfast is the best part of the dining hall, because there's an omelette line every day. For lunch and dinner, there is a deli sandwich line if nothing else looks appetizing. Usually there is at least one dish to find that you'll somewhat enjoy.

I'm not a big fan of the dinning hall, the Commons, but the rest of the food on campus, such as in the cafe, Common Grounds, and Le Bistro, is good.

The greek life on campus was one of the coolest things about this school. They are really involved in the community and they host a lot of events to help keep the school more fun and lively. They also take pledging very seriously and they never hesitate to show off a bit during any other student events or activities. They all have a lot of charisma and confidence.

I'm not a part of any Greek Life but you see them around campus. If that's something you're interested in, it's definitely an option at Utica.

Greek Life is very popular here at Utica College. You can expect to make life long sisters or brothers if you choose to pledge a sorority or fraternity. Our sororities and fraternities are always involved in activities around the campus.

Greek life is somewhat diverse but not as much as it can be. Many Greek organizations do not want to expand the Greek life on campus because of fear of competition.
