I currently a student at VCU returning for my sophomore year and I must say that I am excited to get back to Richmond, VA this fall. As an engineering student I can tell that the education that I am receiving from VCU presents me as well as others attending this diverse university, with a chance to master subject areas even with no prior knowledge of any particular subject area. There is always something to do on this campus. So many resources on campus to meet students different needs/interests. Also, many clubs to choose from and find something that fits your taste or interest you.

I believe that any school can be great as long as there are good people with whom to share your college experience. I believe I have made lifelong friends at this school, which has made it a great experience. While I do not always feel challenged academically here and sometimes wish that the curriculum was more rigorous so that I could be learning more, I have generally enjoyed my experiences here overall.

VCU is an extremely diverse and vibrant university. This fact only adds to the community vibe felt on campus. Because of its location (smack in the middle of Richmond), the school and its community are very much immersed in Richmond culture.

I would rate VCU a solid 8/10 for their commitment to educational and moral lessons that provide light in a nation that sometimes goes dark. I am learning not only school based information, but common knowledge that will help me in life after college. The diversity and many events aimed at pulling everyone together is something I will keep in my heart always and try my best to grow upon.
