U.S News & World Report ranks VSU as #31 in Historically Black Colleges and Universities and #41 in Top Public Schools. The university has its own agricultural research center and 416-acre farm. VSU is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund with communications, physical education teaching, and criminal justice among the top majors.
