Virginia Union University is a private school built on Christian principles. It is a landmark for African Americans as the Underground Rail Road and selling of slaves took place right on the grass. It's roots include a former jail and hotel. Not to mention, our Alumni have conquered great obstacles for example Douglas L. Wilder who is the first African American Governor in the history of the United States.

Overall the school is good. I like it, its small with pretty good teachers and filled with great opportunities. Always remember to read up on any school you plan to attend; and when you're accepted and even before always read the schools handbook.
