because the town is so small, it's easy to become close to your floormates and people you may not know at first. it brings a feeling of family in a matter of days. there are also a couple of walking-distance restaurants around the town!

there is downtown pullman where there are shops and hangouts to go to, sporting events at the track field, soccer field, football field, etc., the compton union building (the cub) where there are games, televisions, and many activities going on, the rec center has exercise machines and many fitness classes and activities, and there are students out in numerous grassy area of campus who tan, chill out, nap, play frisbee, and much more.

Hang out with friends, hike, explore the areas (like cliff diving), parties, football games. Anything you want you can find you just have to look for it.

Pullman is such a great place because it's not a huge city, which makes it cleaner and easier to get around, but there is still so much to do. From the REC center, to parks across the town, and even just driving or walking through campus makes it all worthwhile. WSU is what you make of it. If you've got great people with you, anything can turn into a great night.

Hang with friends, go the the rec center, go to athletic events, shop downtown, or visit nearby Moscow, Idaho (more dining/shopping options). And party of course!

Lots to do! I'm not a party kind of guy, so I spend my nights and weekends going to recitals and concerts on and off campus. The Washington-Idaho symphony performs regularly, and they are free for WSU students (most of the time). Also lots of intramural sports. There's an amazing rec center, and the outdoors is just gorgeous here.

Join a club on campus or an intramural activity, get involved in Greek life or ASWSU. There are always events going on on campus, and there are places off campus to go bowling, get froyo, the cliffs and the dunes when it's nice out, or Kaiak Butte or Palouse Falls to bemuse one with nature.
