Western Michigan University is a public institution established in 1903 in Kalamazoo, MI. It is a research university with “High Research Activity” according to the Carnegie Foundation. It is home to the oldest honors college in the nation, Lee Honors College, and the school also owns its an aviation campus at W.K. Kellogg Airport. A majority of students major in business, followed by nursing and biomedical sciences.
WMU has a very nice campus where everything is fairly close to each other, unlike big 10 universities with enormous campuses. The professors are very helpful and personable due to the small classes and the opportunity to get acquainted with one another. I would rate WMU a perfect ten out of ten.
