There are over 200 clubs on campus - I'm involved in one, a martial arts club. At least three parks within an hour-long bus trip, downtown is like ten minutes away, bikes are allowed almost everywhere.

Bellingham is known for it's hiking and biking, but there are some good swimming areas, as well as local music and the late nights at the trampoline zone.

There is always an event going on somewhere, whether a get together to learn about something, or a club meeting. There is a swimming pool and large hot tub, even a sauna on the ridge if your into that kind of stuff. All dorms have a common area where you can watch movies or hang out or play games, pool, ping pong and more with other residence.

The library is absolutely gorgeous. I spent a ton of time studying upstairs in the children's lit section.

Visit the many local parks, Mt. Baker, the islands. Hit Boomers, Mallard's ice cream, and Fat Pie pizza!

I spent more time in Fairhaven than Bellingham because it is cuter and cleaner than Bellingham! Downtown Bellingham is dirty and crowded with drug addicts that yell at each other. There are sooo many delicious places to eat and fun shops to look at! I recommend The Bagelry, Old Town Cafe, and HOMESKILLET!

The town of Bellingham contains endless possiblites. Just about a mile or two from campus is a thriving down town area that is full of neat local shops and restaurants. It is truly a beautiful area with many job opporutunites and fun activities. Not to mention the many outdoor parks that are breath-takingly beautiful. Only a few examples of some are, Oyster Dome, Teddy Bear Cove, Whatcom Falls, and many many more. I myself have sadly only visted Oyster Dome however at the top of the hike was the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. The shades of red that cover the Bellingham skies over the ocean when the sunsets, make your heart melt as much as the sun in the sky. Bellingham is truly one of nature's gifts that keeps you very much occupied.
