A Wheelock education is a great thing, especially if you want to be a teacher. The professors here really care about your success, not just in terms of grades, but in terms of how well-prepared you will be for your career upon graduation. That being said, this is a private school so it is pricey, and you won't be making a huge salary right away with most of the majors offered here (education, social work, etc.).

Wheelock is very expensive. However, they offer a lot of scholarships and financial aid to their students. The classes are totally worth it if you know what you want to do. There are a lot of opportunities to make money on campus as well.

To attend Wheelock and live on campus, it costs about $45,000 a year. That is A LOT of money. I believe it is worth it. At any other college you would probably be sitting in a lecture hall full of over 100 students; here at Wheelock I sit in a classroom with about 20 or so students and my professors actually know who I am. Along with not being just a number, I get to live right in the heart of Boston. That in itself is a wonderful thing. Another thing that makes it worth $45,000 a year to me is the fact that it is the only college in Massachusetts that offers the major I want; child life. Child life specialists in Boston make about $45,000-$50,000 a year anyways so at least when I graduate I will be making enough money to pay off my student loans.
