With a main campus nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Brushy Mountains, Wilkes Community College is a 2-year college serving three counties in northwest North Carolina. WCC is home to five academic departments including a College and Career Readiness division featuring adult education courses. In addition to classroom space, the campus also houses the WCC Gardens which provide a laboratory space for students in the Horticulture Department. Every year, WCC hosts MerleFest—a bluegrass and Appalachian music festival that functions as the biggest fundraiser for The WCC Foundation.
