Things are not that expensive in Winona. I'd say the college is worth the money since it's WSU is not expensive at all. Almost all of the people who go there, pick WSU because it's not expensive. There are a lot of scholarships offered for you with particular major and it's very easy to get more scholarship as long as you keep your GPA 3.00 or higher.

It is a more expensive public school BUT they provide you with a lap top (which is really awesome) and a mini iPad. The school is very technology based which ends up being really convenient because you don't have to cary around as much crap because so much of it is on your computer.

Honestly, walking around campus you can tell why Winona is so much less expensive than other universities. It doesn't have as much to offer.

Winona is considerably cheaper than other MnSCU schools. There's room for improvement with a few things like food and things to do for fun.

Winona State gives you the bang for your buck. At many larger Universities you are taught by teaching assistants until your junior or senior year. At Winona you have real professors who have earned their doctorates. The class sizes are realistic and all of my professors thus far have been willing to help me after hours with whatever I was struggling with. Winona State also has a new wellness center and gym that I go to frequently and it is always kept in good condition!
