You definitely get what you pay for, but it really only comes down to what you make of it. It can be very exciting (there is much to do, learn, and people to meet), or it can be a horrible experience. The important thing is that it is your choice.

Winthrop is understanding that we are already paying thousands for college, so in return they make a lot of things for free, or you can charge it onto your student account which is pretty amazing. You can definitely tell where your money is going to in class and out of class.

I feel that Winthrop does not use tuition money on everything that they should. To say we pay so much I don't feel that all of the tuition money is put to good use.

You really CAN'T beat it. Washington Monthly named Winthrop one of Americaâ??s â??Best Bang for the Buck Collegesâ?? in its 2013 College Guide Rankings edition. Nationally, Winthrop was ranked 93rd out of 349 public and private universities and colleges that were named â??Best Bang for the Buck.â?? In the masterâ??s degree-granting category for the value ranking, Winthrop came in at 37th out of 152 institutions. Both of my parents are working 2 jobs each to try to send me to Winthrop. However, although this is the very best school for the money, I have been unable to secure the funding to continue at Winthrop. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
