    i love winthrop but as one of the most expensive public colleges in the state, i expect a bit more. winthrop aims to give students a unique experience and the rock hill area is slowly growing, but the baseline for housing and meal plans compared to how much you pay just don't add up.

    You definitely get what you pay for, but it really only comes down to what you make of it. It can be very exciting (there is much to do, learn, and people to meet), or it can be a horrible experience. The important thing is that it is your choice.

    Winthrop is understanding that we are already paying thousands for college, so in return they make a lot of things for free, or you can charge it onto your student account which is pretty amazing. You can definitely tell where your money is going to in class and out of class.
