Read Moredo not take a class that does not have a good professor. i have met some of the worst and best teachers at wpi, and when they're good, i either understood everything clearly with no problems and didn't have to put in any additional effort beyond completing the assignments, or i thoroughly enjoyed the time spent studying the material because the professor got me so excited about it. when they're bad, congratulations, you're paying $60k a year to teach yourself. social life can be rough when you first get there because it's all about connections, so you want to meet upper classmen as soon as possible. get the 200 meal plan. i don't know a single person who'd ever run out of meals with that one, and then you don't have to stress about wasting meals every week.
Read MoreThis isn't high school; you won't breeze through your classes like you did then. If do decide to go here, be prepared for late nights and bad grades until you assist to the workload and develop some time management skills. I was 2nd in my class in high school and failed physics my first term. Don't let this scare you, though. You WILL adjust and the people here are fantastic. Also, people in the field know WPI is an amazing school so your education is definitely worth the tuition and studying.
