here are occasional events that you can go to, typically during Welcome Week and Homecoming Week. However, I'd say most people go to the Andrew's Recreation Center (or The Rec, as every student calls it). And it's no wonder: there's quite a bit to do there! There's the awesome 53-ft. rock wall, as well as a great bouldering wall if that's what you're in the mood for. Additionally, it's got a basketball court (where there are often a lot of people playing pretty much all the time), a volleyball net (which is always set up and available, with some VERY rare exceptions), and 2 racquetball courts (there are more located in Stambaugh Stadium). The neat thing about the racquetball courts is that, with your student ID, you can borrow all the equipment you need for it free of charge! The Rec also supplies lockers with locks, also free of charge. Finally, it's got almost every different kind of excercising equipment, so that you can work out every single muscle of your body! It's great! Equipment is always clean, and, no matter how stupid your question, the staff will happily help you (yep, that was me once or twice!). Other than that and the thousand-and-one different clubs, I don't really know of anything else to do.

There are live performances, musicals, games and etc. You can attend some for free, or at discounted prices for family, and friends.

What isn't there to do?! The university is always hosting fun events, and the dorms do regular programs for their students. There are hundreds of clubs to choose from, and I hear Greek life is great! The YSUnity Drag Show was my favorite event so far.

There actually is a large amount of things to do on campus. You could go to the gym, hang out at one of the eateries I listed, go to the bookstore, or maybe just walk around and get the feeling for the school. And there's always an upcoming event to keep things interesting. There's even a pool table on campus. :)

There is a vast amount of resources for entertaining yourself. Downtown is three blocks away with a barrage of restaurants, bars, and theaters to keep you occupied for the evening.

There are more than enough things on or around the campus pass the time. The REC center is a great place to go to meet new people and get a great workout in, not to mention the myriad of options of things to do while in there.
