Alice Lloyd College is one of nine 4-year work-study colleges in the United States. The liberal arts curriculum is heavily influenced by “The Purpose Road Philosophy” which promotes world service and culminates in either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. Every ALC student is required to put in at least 10 hours of work per week to offset tuition costs, and students in the 108-county service area attend tuition-free under the Appalachian Leaders College Scholarship. While ALC is officially a non-sectarian college, its values are founded in the Christian faith and ALC enforces dry campus regulations.
The school is extremely good. There are so many opportunities available and the education is top notch. The campus is the perfect size and the people are very friendly. The school is a very driven school and thrives on success of the students.
A good first year college for a freshman. Has extremely nice individuals.
