American Conservatory Theater

As part of the largest theater company in San Francisco, the American Conservatory Theater features an actor training conservatory program. ACT’s conservatory offers a 3-year immersive MFA program in acting that culminates in a showcase for casting administrators, directors, and agents from New York and Los Angeles. In addition, students hone their craft in numerous plays mounted at ACT’s Strand Theater throughout the year. ACT’s roster of prominent alumni include acting luminaries such as Denzel Washington and Annette Bening.
