Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

$28,000
Out-of-State Tuition Out-of-state tuition is the tuition charged by institutions to those students who do not meet the state’s or institution’s residency requirements. Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

What Students Are Saying

3.88 Average Rating
This school is one of the few private Christian schools that offers a lot of scholarships. Also, the quality of education, the beauty of the campus, and the overall positivity of the student body and faculty makes this a great buy. This is an educational experience that is hard to find.
Sarah from NY
While Anderson University may have a large sticker price, they make money become the last issue. They offer a wide variety of scholarship opportunities, many in different areas. The financial aid department is quick and easy to get what you need and get out so that you may finish other errands, or even study!
Brianna from Anderson, SC
You get what you pay for. At AU you are paying for great teachers, good christian students, and a beautiful campus. The only problem students tend to complain about is the parking, but its not that bad.
Stephanie from Greenville, SC
Sounds more than worth it!
Melody from Jacksonville, FL
Anderson is a very affordable school especially considering everything that comes with the price. Classes are enjoyable and personal, dining is high quality, and degree programs are rigorous and prepare students to work in the field. Recently the South Carolina School of the Arts accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) has made its home at Anderson University. The art program here is one of the best on the east coast! This university also provides a great atmosphere for these important years of a students life, taking away many great memories and life long friends.
Laurel from Maiden, NC
With the available scholarships, Andeson University is rated as one of the best universities for the cost in the Southeast.
