Founded by the Connecticut State Legislature with a mission to help students complete their higher education degrees, Charter Oak State College is an online college based out of the Hartford metro area. Charter Oak State offers a number of online courses to enable students to complete a bachelor’s degree in 11 fields of study. Among those offerings, the college’s General Studies program features nine academic concentrations. To provide assistance to an historically underserved student population, Charter Oak State’s Women in Transition Program features a financial aid package for working single mothers earning a degree online.
