What Students Are Saying

3.98 Average Rating
As mentioned before, CCU has many opportunities and there is a lot of pressure to get involved. So, prospective students be warned that one must say no to many things or become exhausted from doing too much, especially during the freshman year. There is also a 180 hour ministry hour requirement for four-year students. 45 hours can be completed on campus, but the rest is done off-campus. Thus, prospective students should have an idea of what they want to get involved in and start as soon as possible to fulfill these hours so there is no crunch in the junior and senior year.

Be prepared to do things you have and have not done before.

Get your application in early - you will want to get excited about where you are going...and more scholarship money for you too then!

Ask questions, take a tour. Make sure you see yourself here! Visualize what life would be like.

Realize that no decision is permanent, and there is a school out there for you, whether or not you find it your first year or not. Find a school that fits for you, but enjoy the moment you are in too.
Alyssa from Centennial, CO
Apply for as many scholarships as you can, both from the school and outside sources (like Cappex!). If you end up attending, be ready and willing to go through spiritual change, because it will happen within the first month and continue on throughout your entire stay.
Derek from Chandler, AZ
Don't freak out if you apply late! I didn't have all of my paperwork in 'til the July before school started and I still made it.
Esther from Spring, TX
Make sure you do your research and be prepared to delve into every area of information with detailed questions so you can have the best chance for a successful enrollment. Be informed about financial aid options and requirements for online and in seat locations for class attendance.
Nicole from Spring, TX
Attending any college is a big choice, CCU does teach all of their classes with a Biblical perspective (even the general education and electives). It was probably one of my greatest concerns when choosing a college - I wanted to make sure that they taught what I already believed, and that I didn't have to be tested on material I was uncomfortable with. However, any religion is accepted, and whether Christian or not, I have had many classmates that learned from the other students, including myself.

Get to know your professors. They really truly care about you as a person. Set up a time to meet with them and just introduce yourself. The more you get to know them, the better.
