Established in 1973, East Georgia State College is a public, 4-year institution located in the city of Swainsboro, and it is a member of the University System of Georgia. EGSC offers over 20 certificate and degree programs, many of which are available to complete online. The college also operates satellite facilities in Statesboro and Augusta, and each campus features a Learning Commons, which is a collaboration between the Academic Center for Excellence and the EGSC Library that functions as the main academic support resource for students. Eligible students can enroll the Bobcat Bridge program, which aims to provide educational and personal care assistance to students in need.
