Am learning a lot
Most teachers here do a great job at teaching their subjects with the exception of a few of them. They have a great class selection to choose from so there's always something new to learn each semester.
Am enjoying being here
The atmosphere is pretty friendly and there are not too many critical problems going on in the school.
Bang for the buck
I'm paying out of state tuition right now, but the normal $26 per unit is a very good deal compared to other state community colleges. For anyone wanting to gain a higher education, this is a good deal.
Tips for prospective students
1. Register early! Classes are filling up fast now since the economy went under, especially in the state of California itself.
2. Make sure to meet with a counselor as soon as possible so you can have your education goal and the classes you need for it put in place.
3. Show up for the first day of class otherwise you will be dropped. This school has a strict attendance policy where you can only miss up to three unexcused absences.
Great for these types of students
If you think the cost of a 4-year university is expensive and you want to save money on gaining a general 2-year education, then ECC is the place for you.

Will learn a lot
So far all of the people I've had the pleasure of speacking with have been able to help me, and they seem like the counselor help you out a lot. I say that because when I was attending CSUDH, the counselor would just give you a list of the classes you needed to take and that would be all and at El Camino they walk you step by step, depending on you chosen major.
Tips for prospective students
Always speak to counselor, and make a carrer plan before signing up for classes. That way the couselor will tell you if there is a prerequisite, and if there is sometimes you can take a test to meet that prerequisite and save yourself some time and money by doing so. Also if you talk to a counselor you will feel a lot less lost and you will have the peace of mind that you are taking the classes you need in order to achieve your goal.
Great for these types of students
I think this college is great for any type of student, the one that doen't know what his major will be, oor for the one that want to transfer, or for the one that wants a short career.

Did learn a lot
I did the Nursing program and learned a ton! I passed the NCLEX on my first try and feel completely prepared to enter the workforce as a Registered Nurse.
Did enjoy being here
Most of my teachers were amazing, and I made some very good friends in the program. However, the administration and staff are not always very helpful, and you'll be on your own figuring out a lot of the logistics.
Bang for the buck
I had the Board of Governors' Fee Waiver, and paid next to nothing for my education.
Tips for prospective students
If you want to do nursing, this is a great program! However, be warned that it is becoming very tough to get a job with an Associate's in Nursing, as most hospitals are now requiring a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Am learning a lot
The teachers here at El Camino really love their job and helping students. Of course there are a few exceptions, but rare here at El Camino. The tutoring offered are very helpful as well. They offer various hours and styles of tutoring. The teachers also are willing to help you during their office hours and sometimes after.
Am enjoying being here
The atmosphere is very friendly and fun, only thing i hate is the smoking every where. If they could designate areas for smoking then that would be great and make the school even better.
Bang for the buck
The price of classes and books are reasonable. You get your moneys worth.
Tips for prospective students
Join a sport or the fresh year experience program so you can have priority registration. Getting classes is very hard if yo don't have priority registration.
Great for these types of students
Students who aren't quite ready for the big cal states or universities. Also great for students who need to save money and work while attending school.

I first thought that El Camino was going to be a repeat of high school, little did i know that I learned new and interesting lessons. My classes are challenging but I love it. Everyday going to school is exciting.

Am learning a lot
Even though, college has few learning resources available, there are lots of faculty members who are willing to spend time with their own students and help them understand course materials.
Am enjoying being here
There are lots of clubs that you can join. Clubs promotes social activities which include fundraising, working with professionals who have vast knowledge related to your major, and museum trips where you learn different cultures.
Bang for the buck
There are aids available low income students. One of them is fee waiver that if a student can prove that he is not able to afford for tuition, he or she can be qualified for waiver to save money.
Tips for prospective students
Always think positive. Even though the school is not near to level of 4 year university, you can learn lots of things here.
Great for these types of students
Students who don't know what to do in the future.

The professors here are very helpful in assisting you with anything. If you did not understand the day's lesson, they will offer office hours after class to help you.
Am enjoying being here
It is a very comfortable environment with friendly people that would not mind being friends with you. i feel safe in the school and I know where I can go in between classes to do productive work.
Bang for the buck
It is super cheap compared to a college or university and the transportation that leaves you directly in front is very time-saving.
Tips for prospective students
Ask questions and get to know your teachers.
