Formerly known as Our Lady of the Lake College, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is a 4-year Catholic institution with an emphasis on healthcare. FranU’s Baton Rouge campus offers academic programs in three schools: Health Professions, Nursing, and Arts and Sciences. The campus is also home to the Simulation Environment Teaching Hospital where healthcare students practice their lessons learned in the classroom in a controlled environment. To supplement its academic offerings, FranU’s service learning program partners its students with over 120 community service organizations.

The faculty and staff is very welcoming and guides students step by step but also gives students the independents that they want and need.
