Am learning a lot
The professors at the Glendale Community College Main and North Campus are equally able to help students individually despite the major size differences. I attend both the main and north campuses and i get equal attention and help. There are many tutoring centers on campus that are easily accessible and many opportunities to meet with your professor.
Am enjoying being here
The atmosphere overall is positive and pleasant. Professors are also fun and enjoyable through class. I found that it was very easy to be attentive in all of my classes and I never got bored. There are a lot of staff at the campuses that are more than willing to help new students with smiles.
Bang for the buck
Glendale Community College is extremely affordable. They offer academic scholarships through high school placement, placement testing, and an honors program. Saving money is critically important, and going through community college either to achieve an associates degree or transfer to a university is the way to go! Glendale Community College is the school everyone should consider around the Maricopa County.
Tips for prospective students
Try your hardest on the placement test. It's nothing too difficult however if you do place in honors criteria, you will receive a full-ride presidential scholarship as I did. You will need to keep up with the requirements such as a 3.25 GPA and 12 credit hours which include one honors class. As long as you study, be attentive, and do your homework it will not be difficult to keep!
Great for these types of students
Students seeking an associates degree or eventual transfer to a university, Students looking to save money!!!, and students seeking to get a comfortable feel of college life before attending a major university.

Am learning a lot
Glendale Community College is one of our surrounding community colleges in Arizona since 1965. Last year, more than 32,000 students enrolled in a wide variety of degree and certificate programs; on their way to achieving personal goals. From learning a particular subject to earning a degree or certificate to preparing for a new career or transfer to a university, students are always working hard, making life happen. The main campus at GCC North locations offers classes and programs throughout the West valley. There are supportive faculty members and helpful student services. They are ready to provide each student with the knowledge, skills and support they will need to succeed in the college and the world beyond it.
For the past year, it has been a great opportunity for me to go to school there (ACE Plus program).I am going to be so prepared when I transfer to a university. GCC is an excellent beginning college for anyone!

Did learn a lot
I didn't really seem to be challenged too much in my time here. It almost seemed like I was learning a little bit more in depth information about the same topics as high school but this could have easily been condensed into maybe a maximum of a couple weeks. That was the case for most of the courses I enrolled in, however there was one where I learned some and that was my Computer Information Systems course and that is only because I had no prior knowledge of some of the programs, but the ones that I did know about I breezed right through without really learning much.
Did enjoy being here
This college is enjoyable and friendly. You will meet a lot of new people and have fun with them as you build a relationship with them through your course. It also seems to be a very laid back environment where there is not too much pressure. You can definitely have a good time if you attempt to.
Bang for the buck
This college is extremely wallet friendly especially in comparison to the universities. If you don't think that this is a fair price then look at ASU or UofA and see what you think after that. This college is a great way to get a lot of your courses out of the way and is a great transition from high school to a university.
Tips for prospective students
If you are looking to try and save some money and get classes out of the way that are a requirement for a degree that you are interested in the this is the college for you. Instructors are extremely approachable and can be a lot of fun in class. Classes don't seem to be too rigorous and as long as you pay attention in class and have a little bit of study time each week you should be able to breeze right through it assuming you aren't taking something like organic chemistry. You will have good instructors that know the material and offer help if needed and make it fun in some of your classes.
Great for these types of students
Low budget
Associate Degree hopefuls
People wanting to get prereqs out of the way for the universities at a discounted price

In three sentences
Glendale Community College is an exceptional college that offers many career choices for its students. The teachers are very knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help their students understand course materials and ultimately earn a passing grade. The school is filled with resources such a writing development center, a music building filled with pianos, and even a library with access to the hundreds of books and several computer stations to study on and about.
Tips for prospective students
My three main tips for prospective students are the following:
#1. Do not allow yourself to procrastinate.
#2. Study in multiple sessions and not all at once.
#3. Ask questions in class no matter how simple they may be because there's a good chance someone else has the same question.
Academic Rigor
Classes are academically demanding and as such they also offer an opportunity to learn a significant amount of relevant information specific to the class. Class success is based on a student's ability to focus and stay disciplined throughout the entire semester.
Dorm Life
G.C.C. does not offer dormitories and therefore I must rate this section only 1 star.
Food and Dining
G.C.C. has a cafe with fresh food, coffee, and even a game room to help student's relax.
Clubs and Activities
Many clubs are available for practically every career choice to help students focus on achieving their goal of graduating.
Campus Safety
Public safety officers are always plentiful on campus and are a significant to the peace that G.C.C. enjoys.

Am learning a lot
The teachers at Glendale community college are greatly helpfull, and their tactics at teaching the students are amazing.
Am enjoying being here
The students and faculty are very nice, and point new students any where they need to go, even though they have maps all over the school.
Bang for the buck
Being a community college its value is really great.
Tips for prospective students
Make sure to get an idea where your classes are using the online map. also make sure to have all the needed books and equipment you may need.
Great for these types of students
This school is great for all types of students wanting nice teachers, plenty of help, and a large amount of support.

Am learning a lot
The professors at GCC are dedicated to teaching, I have to see a professor blow a student off or not make him-or-herself available for extra help if needed. Beyond just a willingness to teach, many of the professors are experts in their field and have research experience, so you're getting relevant knowledge on the subject.
Am enjoying being here
In the Maricopa County Community College District, GCC is known for having the best student life, offering events and clubs for all interest. There are several development opportunities outside of the class and made available to the students.
Bang for the buck
The entire cost for tuition, fees, and books at GCC for the two-years I have been going there is just a little over the tuition alone for a semester at ASU, yet when I talk to my friends attending university they often complain about the quality of education. For the fraction of the price, I take the same courses with fewer students and more interaction with the professor.
Tips for prospective students
Get involved beyond class. GCC offers over 30 clubs and counting to students, and I think my participation in clubs has been the key to my success and development. Also, professors are required to have office hours, and I cannot stress enough how important is to use this time to talk with professors.
Great for these types of students
Any student can succeed here, it is one of the largest two-years colleges in the country and offers most programs. The small class sizes and the colleges dedication to its students makes this college feel like home.
