Goddard College

Plainfield, VT, USA
4.67 Average Rating

Located on the grounds of a former sheep farm, Goddard College is a nontraditional institution in Vermont and Washington offering an experimental education. Goddard offers six pre-structured undergraduate degrees, but faculty also collaborate with students to design individualized Bachelor of Arts programs. Goddard oversees a “low-residency” model where students meet on campus for eight days to design a study plan before returning home for 16 weeks of independent work. Instead of letter grades, each semester ends with students and faculty advisors composing narrative evaluations of their work.
