It has been several years since i have attended a school, i was feeling overwhelmed with the thought of returning and was considering not coming. From the time I requested an application I have been able to receive help from the entire Hacc Administration whom all have expressed a true concern for my every need to help me succeed. Thank for not allowing me to face and surpass my inner fears and leave!
Tips for prospective students
There are plenty of workshops, tutoring classes and academic advisers, to assist you in achieving the best grade possible. Even if you feel the need to just speak with someone all doors at Hacc are open. They will help in any way possible. Just ask questions and you will get answers.
Academic Rigor
This is a first semester for me and I have used all of the academic services available for students to achieve. Try them. Classes are very well paced.
Dorm Life
Extremely pleasant ,respectful, clean and safe
Food and Dining
Low cost great meals and a large variety on health meals
What to do for fun
I use the gym in my spare time or maybe some volley ball.
Great for these types of students
I am a parent and have received lots of help through Hacc's Keys program, daycare- study habits- budget planning and much more.
Clubs and Activities
Student Government- Gay Alliance- BSU and plenty more.
Campus Safety
Lots of friendly security and plenty of cameras, very comfortable feeling

I am really grateful that I made the decision to go to HACC. I really enjoyed all of the professors I had so far. Because of them, I really enjoy participating in class when they ask questions.
Tips for prospective students
The first thing I learned when I started college, you have to enter with a positive attitude. I took that advice to the heart and it really makes a difference.
Academic Rigor
The professors expect the best out of every student. They expect for the students to meet deadlines when essays are due.
Dorm Life
I live in my own home.
Food and Dining
I eat at home but there are fast foods and restaurant's in the area.
What to do for fun
I try to spend as much time with my family. Since it is hot, we tend to go to the park a lot and get in the pool. But on campus, there is a bullentin board and they post discount tickets to Hershey Park.
Bang for the buck
This school is worth every single penny. You have an option to rent your books if you don't want to buy them. If you do buy your books you can return them at the end of the semester and you can get some of your money back.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Since I have a family, I have not attended to any campus activities.
Campus Safety
I feel comfortable. There are camera's, and the parking lots are well lit. Security is always around.

Am learning a lot
The teachers here are amazing. I have never had a problem with a teacher never wanting to help assist me in a question I might have in their class. I am in my second semester and I am part time, I learn as much as a full time student and enjoy every bit of it. You hear a lot from the students and even the teachers on what other teachers are good to take for different subjects! Helps out in the long run!
Am enjoying being here
Yes, I have a daughter and it gives me time to do something for myself. Attending the York campus is pretty awesome because you get to meet tons of people you would have never met before. Only downside, they do not have child care.
Bang for the buck
Yes, you get your moneys worth, but no matter what you still have to pay back your loan money after you graduate with the degree you receive. They give you a 6 month grace period after completing you schooling. I think it is still cheaper that enrolling is a university. Eventually I am going to have to transfer to another college because one downfall is that Hacc does not have bachelors degree programs.
Tips for prospective students
I would say that you have to keep you head on straight and don't get distracted with all the little stuff. Make sure you do your homework and STUDY STUDY STUDY! College is nothing like High school.
Great for these types of students
I am a mother of a daughter who is barely 2 and she is always wanting to be right with me. I have my fiance watch her when I am at school, but they do give you a phone number to call and get babysitting for cheap. Just because you call the number does not mean you are going to get a discount though, all depends on how much your income is. Would be nice if they had a on- site day care, but they don't. Hacc York works with your schedule and understands that people have lives outside from school.
