Originally begun as a teacher training institution, the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (Inter American University of Puerto Rico) in Ponce is a Christian university in southern Puerto Rico. Inter Ponce hosts five academic divisions featuring 43 bachelor’s degree programs as well as 19 associate degree fields of study. As a Christian institution, Inter Ponce’s University Chaplaincy Office provides confidential pastoral care and spiritual counseling for the student body.
