Academic Rigor
in every class that i have attended thus far, i have learned something new. each teacher does his/her best to encompass and utilize each of the different learning styles in his/her classroom and connect the subject to other classes.
Am enjoying being here
The campus is beautiful and spacious. More importantly however, is that the people are kind. Everybody is extremely friendly and helps one another out. As far as I know there is no drama in the dorms, but if there is, you always have someone who will lend a listening ear and a helping hand. The teachers go out of their way to make sure that you are doing well both academically and wherever else you might need assistance.
Bang for the buck
johnson bible college is the cheapest private college in tennessee. however, just because the price is lower, the standards for education are not. the classes are great, the dorm rooms are spacious and the food is scrumptious.
Tips for prospective students
try and be sociable the first two months of college, even if it pushes you out of your comfort zone. be sure to fill out all of your paperwork and work study application documents before you arrive on campus. it makes life a lot easier once you are there and it provides more assurance that you will have a job on campus.
Great for these types of students
johnson bible college is a great school for those who like smaller classrooms, one on one time with the teachers, and a place where almost every face is familiar. also, johnson bible college does a spectacular job with its preaching program, so if preaching is your call for the future, johnson bible college is the place for you.

Johnson University is outstanding.
They provide us with numerous resources that prepare us for expanding the Kingdom of God among all nations in every major available.
They teach us how to live our life for Christ and to love and give back to others.
Tips for prospective students
Be willing to put in a lot of work, academically and community service wise. All of the professors are very personable and genuinely care about you.
Academic Rigor
Prepare in high school and know how to study, in college you definitely work to earn your grade but it is so rewarding!
Dorm Life
Dorm life is so great! Every two person room has its own bathroom and sink area! No community showers! Also, it is very clean and new and much more living space than other school's dorm rooms!
Food and Dining
Our food service does a wonderful job to help accommodate those with special health needs! The food is really good most of the time!
What to do for fun
We have a student activity center with a grill and a Starbucks and the Great Smoky Mountains are in our backyard! Also, we are very close to downtown Knoxville which allows for very fun weekends involving things such as Movie In The Square!
Bang for the buck
You get a quality education, you even get an automatic double major! Every student who attends Johnson majors in Bible and Theology along with their desired major.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Every year around Christmas the faculty and staff have a very nice dinner for us and they all serve us! It is followed by a hilarious dinner show! Oh! No school on Mondays!
Great for these types of students
Wonderful for students who are looking for training to be able to share their faith in their career!
Campus Safety
We have a guard shack which you have to pass through to enter our campus!

Am learning a lot
The professors are extremely nice and will help you out, no problem!
Am enjoying being here
The whole atmosphere of the college is just wonderful. The buildings have all the same architectural details but the brick and white pillars are just very romantic. It is a beautiful college, we won an award for it!
Bang for the buck
The college is great for me because I happen to be an international student. They supply an awesome scholarship for us and also there is a presidents scholarship that can be given to anyone. The college is definitely cost affordable.
Tips for prospective students
Yes this college is a Bible college, but it also has a music program and teacher education program, of which I am enrolled in. The dorm life is awesome, separate dorm buildings of course.
Great for these types of students
It is great for those who are looking to become a preacher. I know many who have graduated from Johnson and are fine preachers.

Am learning a lot
The classes are interesting and though they teach a lot, they still provide room for your own ideals and beliefs. The lectures are always full of information that is not only nice to know for the tests and quizzes, but very good for learning how to put class curriculum into real world ministry, or give you ideas for teaching or sermons.
Am enjoying being here
The campus is beautiful year round, the people are all very nice and sociable. It really feels like the student body is a giant family; though everyone has a close center of friends, everyone is open to everyone and you really never feel alone. The teachers are personable and easy to talk to as well. Very nice.
Bang for the buck
For the quality of living and classes given, the University should charge much more than it does, but because it continues to receive ample amounts of money from generous alumni and University friends they are able to keep the prices quite low. And if a student is having a hard time paying they work with you to afford it.
Tips for prospective students
Just be sure to be open. You may not be a very sociable person, but be open enough to let people approach you and you'll find yourself surrounded by people who love you and are there to support you. Also, though the teachers are very nice and understanding they do give a nice amount of homework. As long as you keep up with the work they give you and find help when you're struggling you'll be all good!
Great for these types of students
Great for students who want to dedicate their lives to the ministry of God. The preaching major is the focus of the school, but all the other areas are amazing and top of the line. It's a smaller campus that's at least 15 minutes away from everything, but the view is spectacular and the campus immaculate. As long as you don't mind knowing almost everyone on campus and a reasonable work load, this school is a great match for you!

Johnson is the most friendly, supportive college I've visited. The professors are great, the classes are helpful, and the campus is beautiful. The people here are really concerned on making sure you strengthen your relationship with God and helping to prepare you for ministry. You need to come to Johnson University.
Academic Rigor
The classes are really great and the professors are available to help with any homework questions. There are also several study groups and tutors on campus.
Dorm Life
The rooms are bigger than most dorms and have private bathrooms
Food and Dining
The food in the Galley is not the best, but the grill is really good. Not a lot of options but definitely choose a food plan that allows you to have exchange meals. Its also a good idea to buy your own food and cook in the dorm kitchen
Great for these types of students
If you're not serious about the Bible this isn't the college for you. We do intensive Bible studying and the classes are Bible based. We also have mandatory chapel 3 days a week.
Clubs and Activities
We have intramural sports, a cheer and dance team, sports for girls and guys, verse memorization, student government, and a whole bunch of other things to get involved on campus.
Campus Safety
We have security guards on campus, a guard watch, and security cameras. It's pretty safe

Very good school of high quality. Easy to get into, however they have many rules to follow. I truly enjoy this school.
Tips for prospective students
This is a school focused around the Bible; if you don't know much about Scripture, read some. Use the time at Johnson to grow you as a person, not to become who God is promised you'll become later. Ministry is so simple, don't let the classroom kill what you think of as ministry.
Academic Rigor
Good standard for students to live by. They want you to do all things as for Christ, so if you're lazy and immature in your scheduling and school-work, don't go to Johnson.
Dorm Life
You truly build a brotherhood with the people in the dorms. There's an open door policy which helps you get to know everyone very well. You have your own private bathroom!
Food and Dining
You have two options: the Gally (main dining hall) or The River Grill (campus restaurant). It gets old quick, but it's fairly good quality for mass produced college food. Other restaurants are about 10-15 minutes drive away.
What to do for fun
The campus is incredibly small with little to do compared to a large state school. Downtown Knoxville is about a 20-25 minute drive away, so many people go there, many people play video games, so you play with each other a lot. There is also intramural sports as well as many pick up games.
Bang for the buck
Incredible CHRISTIAN education for very cheap. Private university education for just around 17k (as of 2013), and everyone is an automatic double major (Bible and whatever specific you chose).
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
It's really small, so there are not really and unusual traditions or locations. There is the grave site of the founders.
Great for these types of students
Willing to be grown in what you believe and have an open mind to MANY different ways of thinking. Those interesting in theology and religion.
Greek Life
We have Greek class for learning Biblical-Greek as a language, but that's it.
Campus Safety
There is a few security guards that drive around campus, two gates, and very nice people.

This college's focus is definitely on student learning and God. It is a wonderful community and body of students. Coming here means assured learning, and a great starting point for your career.
Tips for prospective students
The focus of this college is learning, and building relationships with people and Christ. Get involved and do not skip out on classes for it will result in failure. This school takes student attendance very seriously.
Academic Rigor
The work in classes will be a lot more than high school. You cannot skip out on lots of classes because this school expects you to attend classes to get your moneys worth. Very studious, but at the same time the classes are smaller and you get time in with professors.
Dorm Life
There is lots of breathing space in the dorms. Everything is up-to-date and the rules are very easy to follow. Everyone is expected to keep their rooms sanitary and there are weekly checks, but they aren't hard to pass.
Food and Dining
The cafeteria food could be better, but there is also a grill in the activity center. If you don't like what's there, the school has exchange meals you can use at the grill.
What to do for fun
The college is located just outside of Knoxville, TN and is close to the Smokies. There are so many things to do including going downtown; hanging out in the Student Activity center and playing pool; or just going to the mall which isn't too far away. Great location and lots of things to do.
Bang for the buck
Teachers here really know what they are talking about and provide very good learning environments. I've never heard of anyone being dissatisfied with their learning here, unless they did not attend classes.
Great for these types of students
Great for people wanting to go into any ministry or missions role.
Campus Safety
There are security and police on campus that patrol all throughout the night. There are almost no thefts and you can leave your stuff and know that nobody is going to mess with it.

Great college with teachers and faculty that actually care about you. Located right outside the Smokey Mountains it is a beautiful campus and is very well maintained. Awesome place to connect with people and further your education.
Academic Rigor
Teachers expect you to work hard in the class and the student's grades will reflect the effort put in. The grading scale is very difficult.
Dorm Life
Great fun is always had in the dorms! whether it just be hanging out, watching a movie, or having a party, we always have a blast!
Food and Dining
The cafeteria food can be iffy sometimes but the grill serves great food! The servings are kinda small in the grill, though.

Whenever a couple wants to become official they have to go walk around the pond 3 times.

Academic Rigor
All of the professors are knowledgeable about their field! All of my professors and advisors were from different parts of the field- a lot to choose from!
