Did learn a lot
I learned everything from fingerprinting to using the right tools for analyzing, collecting and preserving evidence. I also learned about police protocol, and the dangers that can occur on the job and how to avoid being in a hazardous situation.
Did enjoy being here
We did TONS of hands on work and we visited places like the county morgue, county jail, county crime lab, etc. This further enhanced my knowledge of the field.
Bang for the buck
We did things hands on, therefore we needed a variety of tools like fingerprint powder, evidence bags, cameras etc. The cameras alone cost a fortune! We were the only school that had the opportunity to use the cameras and learn about properly taking images for crime scenes. Definitely a bang for my buck!
Tips for prospective students
Take your time to learn the information. Use your laptop to quickly type in notes from lectures. LISTEN to your instructor, because you never want to mess up a crime scene. If you focus, you will have all the necessary tools and information to do the job.
Great for these types of students
Students interested in the Criminal Justice field that want an active role in investigating crime scenes by working hand in hand with other people in an agency to solve a crime.
Students that can work well in groups
Students who take the role of a leader
Students that don't mind blood, the smell of a corpse etc.
Students that can detach themselves from a situation, yet are noble enough to understand the victims, and their families.

When visiting Keiser University's Lakeland campus i was very pleased with the way the advisors and faculty treated each other and guests. The main priority on this campus is to make sure you accomplish your career goals and not be distracted by anything else. Immediately when I sat down with the advisor all questions were answered, and never lost communication with advisor through admissions process.STRONGLY RECOMMEND.....
Tips for prospective students
I strongly recommend that students forget about how much the tuition will cost and focus instead on their life long career that will take them beyond what they believe they can succeed.
Academic Rigor
Class work does not seem hard if students study and give their full undivided attention due to that there is only one class per month, so student could focus completely on that class.
Dorm Life
There is no dorms for this University but if needed they will help find a place for students to rent while attending school.
Food and Dining
There are many Fast food and restaurants around the campus plus the campus has a cafeteria for students to be able to sit and eat with their classmates and have a relax time.

Keiser University is an accelerated college. Be ready to study hard and take a mid-term, quizzes, post test, and final in one month. It is very rewarding though knowing you will be finished in sixteen months, rather than twenty-four months. I'll be working and making an income while the college down the street is still in class.
Tips for prospective students
I recommend not working due to the heavy workload the school provides.
Academic Rigor
Very rigorous program as you have read from my previous notes.
Food and Dining
The Keiser I attend is in Daytona Beach, Fl so there are plenty of restaurants and entertainment. There are a few deli's that give Keiser student's a discount.
What to do for fun
Like I said, Daytona Beach people. There is so much to do! You will never be bored. There is the beach, great night clubs, malls, restaurants, the Nascar speed way, the boardwalk with carnival type places to visit, go-cart track, , mini-golf, etc..
Bang for the buck
Keiser is very expensive but does offer financial assistance and loans. I think it is worth it just to get my degree faster and start my new, awesome career in occupational therapy!
Campus Safety
There is a security officer on campus at all times.

Am enjoying being here
My counselor was very persistent in contacting me to make sure their was a place for me when I decided to attend class. They are not pushy but was very encouraging about me continuing my education. Each contact made me feel like family. The classes are not over-bearing or too long.
