Tuition, Cost & Aid

Affordability and Cost

Average Net Price Average net price for full-time, first-time degree/certificate-seeking undergraduates paying the in-state or in-district tuition rate who were awarded grant or scholarship aid from federal, state or local governments, or the institution. Other sources of grant aid are excluded. Aid awarded anytime during the full aid year is included.

Average net price is generated by subtracting the average amount of federal, state or local government, or institutional grant and scholarship aid from the total cost of attendance. Total cost of attendance is the sum of published tuition and required fees (lower of in-district or in-state), books and supplies and the weighted average room and board and other expenses.

What Students Are Saying

2.98 Average Rating
I'm getting money back. For me to have 30 hours, its costing roughly around $5,000 a year, whereas, if I was attending the same university as one of my friends, it would probably be costing me close to $20,000.
Shelbi from Keithville, LA
Very cheap school compared to other 4 year-universities.
Brittany from Shreveport, LA
a little overpriced but all colleges in louisiana are.
Joseph from Shreveport, LA
LSUS is clean, fun and friendly. Parking is the only area that lacks. I wish there were more parking with bigger parking spaces. They are skinny in some areas of campus and people do not know how to park sometimes.
