Methodist College of Nursing is a wonderful school! We have great faculty and staff that are always willing to help a student. Methodist is not a very large school most classes have an average of 30 people.
Tips for prospective students
Ask all the questions you may have! Don't forget to look over the school handbook before committing, after all it is what you will have to follow once you agree to attend.
Academic Rigor
The instructors are great and very understanding of the other courses your enrolled in. All instructors are nurses and have worked out in the field. This is a wonderful way to get to know the different fields before graduating, each instructor has their own story and they never hesitate to help you.
Dorm Life
It is not hard to find help everyone living in the dorms is willing to help whether they are in your classes or in the upper division nursing classes you can always find someone willing to help.
Food and Dining
Methodist does not currently have a meal plan but the hospital cafeteria does offer a discount to Methodist College students. There are also a lot of places to eat within a 2 mile radius, as well as a deli across the street.
What to do for fun
Residential life offers free food or events open to not only those students who live in the dorms but all Methodist College of Nursing students every week.
Bang for the buck
For the education you are given it is well worth the money! I attended a large university before attending Methodist and for the amount of help you can receive from instructors and the maximum amount of seats in a class is 30 versus large colleges who allow 200 students in a lecture.
Clubs and Activities
Methodist offers SGA - Student Government Association and SNA - Student Nurses Association.
Greek Life
No greek life offered.
Campus Safety
Campus security is GREAT! The college uses the same security as the hospital and they are very will to help you in any situation even if it is to walk 50 feet out to your car.
