What Students Are Saying

It's pretty good academically. There are a lot of different courses you can take to challenge you. Different majors are more rigorous than others. The general education classes can be annoying if they seem to get in the way of your major. There is an Honors Program that can offer more challenging courses too.

Northern Illinois do not play around when it comes to academics. You do not do well you will be put on academic probation, and if it continues you will be dismissed from the university. even though they will dismiss you, if u feel like you are capable to turn yourself around Northern Illinois University do accept you to appeal you dismissal.
