Northern Wyoming Community College District is a multi-campus community college with locations in both Sheridan and Gillette, WY. The institutions serve Sheridan, Campbell, and Johnson counties, conferring three associate degrees: Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Fine Arts (AFA), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS). Students can also opt for a 1-year Certificate of Completion (CoC), a skills-focused training that prepares students to enter the workforce. Outside of academia, students can join the athletic teams at both colleges, the SC Generals or the GC Pronghorns, which both field soccer, basketball, volleyball, and rodeo. Students can also take advantage of the NWCCD’s location, which is near Yellowstone National Park, the Black Hills of South Dakota, and the Bighorn Mountains.
