Am learning a lot
So far, the professors are great; they are helpful; they will go out of their way to help you. One of my professors let me borrow their book, to copy chapters out of it, so I could do my assigned reading, since I didn't have a book.
Am enjoying being here
It is so peaceful, and everyone is helpful. If you help with anything, just ask! One student in my logic class let be borrow her book over the weekend, so I could copy some chapters out of the book, and one copied a chapter for me.
Bang for the buck
The tuition is cheaper here, then some schools I have investigated.
Tips for prospective students
Show up for class every session, so you don't miss out on any important information. They only allow so many absences, before they start deducting from your grade. Save your absences for absolute emergencies.
Great for these types of students
Since class sizes are small, it's great for students, who need extra attention.

Will learn a lot
small class sizes
Will enjoy being here
The campus is gorgeous ! The dorms are really nice. The area is large but nice also. There are plenty of things to do. Everything is up to date & I highly doubt that anyone who attends gets bored or just does the same thing over & over.

Am learning a lot
The instructors here are well versed in their research areas and are willing to work with students on problem areas.
Am enjoying being here
I LOVE being here.
Bang for the buck
Initially, I was a little worried about the cost of attending Nova for graduate school. After taking a couple of classes however, it is clear to me that the amount I am paying is well worth it.
Tips for prospective students
If you want to pursue graduate studies at the Oceanographic Center (I'm a Master's student in Marine Biology), I suggest emailing professors you are interested in working with. They are really nice and almost all of them will respond back to you. Everyone I have met so far has been really patient and willing to talk to students about research projects and such. There are also lots of opportunities for undergraduate students to gain research experience in marine science for use in job prospects or to help jump start an interest in graduate studies.
Great for these types of students
Hard working, goal oriented-be excited about what you want to do, and you will have no trouble here.

Am learning a lot
My major is Education and the professors were learning from defiantly gives us a lot of their experiences to help us in our future teaching. Your not only learning through the textbooks but through stories shared in the classroom
Tips for prospective students
When entering Nova be prepared to work hard, meet new people and have a great time. My tip is to balance your studies as well as joining any clubs or having a job.
Great for these types of students
Nova is great for any kind of students. Nova is great for students who just got out high school and want to begin with joinning clubs or studying hard. It's great for older students who took time off and is coming back to school.

Will learn a lot
My alumnus guidance counselor said she gained a lot from Nova.
Tips for prospective students
Don't fret if you don't get an acceptance letter right away. Nova sent them out later than other schools I applied for.

Campus is super beautiful and people are nice. NSU is growing at a fast rate and will be a leading university in Fl in the near future. However, there are some problems that they need to work on.
Tips for prospective students
NSU is not a party university and professors are extremely strict, so you have to work hard. The campus food is horrible, so you may want to have a car. The student body at NSU is really diverse.
Academic Rigor
The largest library in Fl is at NSU, so you may want to take advantage of that. Professors in general are nice and knowledgeable and want to help you succeed. Most students here are super studious so the learning community is competitive.
Dorm Life
Not familiar.
Food and Dining
horribly terrible.
What to do for fun
Thea beach is near, only 15 minutes drive. There are many good restaurants in this area where may surprise you if you are a Chinese/Japanese food lover.
Bang for the buck
To be honest, NSU is good, but not perfect, not great. Just good. At the end of the day, you are rewarded what you input. They got good professors who really care about you, but those professors are not from Harvard, nor Oxford. It is a good university, but is not a top university. It is a A- university, I would say.
Clubs and Activities
There are a bunch of clubs out there.
Campus Safety
Campus safety guides and Davie police officers are all around even in the middle of night, so it is super safe even though a young girl walks alone at night. One of the safest campuses in the U.S.

It was my privilege to be accepted by the Nova Southeastern University pre-law program, but Nova has a degree program for almost everyone. Its science programs, especially in the area of oceanography, are second to none. My objective is to attend the Shepard Broad School of Law at Nova, however, many highly acclaimed graduate programs are available.
Tips for prospective students
It is a good idea to apply as soon as you are able and, in addition, you will most likely need scholarships, grants, and student loans as Nova Southeastern University is a private school. Although it is not one of the most expensive schools in the country, tuition, room and board can be a challenge to any pocketbook.
Academic Rigor
Selected last year as one of the most highly esteemed universities in the world, its programs offer some of the best curriculums one can find. The old saying, "no pain, no gain," certainly applies to Nova as good study habits are absolutely necessary.
Dorm Life
Nova has a variety of student residence facilities all within convenient walking distance of the classroom and library facilities. However, off-campus housing is also available while local residents also number within the campus population.
Food and Dining
In addition to fine dining facilities on campus, there are numerous restaurants in the area near the school. Off-campus, Fort Lauderdale offers a full spectrum of dining choices from fast food to 5 star cuisine.
What to do for fun
In addition to all of the sports and social activities the Nova Sharks have to offer, it is needless to point to all of the activities one can enjoy within short driving distance in the Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and the Palm Beach areas.

I believe I could actually engage and learn a lot of things by attending classes at Nova.
Dorm Life
Dorms are beautiful, and very nicely spaced.
Food and Dining
I personally never went to the campus but i'm sure the food is great just like the rest of Nova.

NOVA has some of the best teachers that care for their students.
NOVA gives students opportunities to excel with the various resources offered such as, mock interviews and free tutoring.
NOVA might be expensive but everything they have to offer makes it worth what were paying.
Tips for prospective students
If you want to go to a school where you get to speak to your professor every class and enjoy having that one on one relationship NOVA is the school for you. If you feel that the price is a bit much, find scholarships and make it work.
Academic Rigor
The classes are challenging for in the end you come out knowing everything there is to know about the subject. The teachers teach what is necessary and do it in ways that any student can understand.
Dorm Life
The dorm life is awesome! Besides having the convenience of not having to wake up an hour before class and being able to go back to your room whenever you want NOVA dorm life host a lot of fun events.
