Nunez Community College
Nunez Community College is a 2-year college in the New Orleans metro area and the first Louisiana college named after a woman. Nunez offers degrees and certificates in 16 academic fields of study. For students who wish to pursue a 4-year degree, Nunez’s Louisiana Transfer degree provides a seamless transfer to all of the state’s public colleges and universities and is available in six concentrations. To provide recreational opportunities away from the classroom, Nunez fields a men’s baseball team as well as an intramural league playing a variation of softball called “cabbageball.”
