Named after the Founding Father who famously shouted “Give me liberty or give me death,” Patrick Henry College is a Christian liberal arts academy in northeast Virginia. Patrick Henry integrates Christian philosophy into all of its academic programs and every one of the college’s seven majors is founded upon The Bible and other great books. Beyond regular classroom work, every Patrick Henry degree features both apprenticeship and foreign language proficiency requirements. Spiritual life plays a major role for all Patrick Henry students as the college offers campus-wide chapel services three days a week and smaller chapel meetings led by RAs twice per week.
Patrick Henry is a small, close-knit and community-concerned school. Its high standards and tightly focused academic programs make it a really valuable education and a worthwhile challenge. The faculty are world-class but available and caring for all of their small classes.

The culture and environment at Patrick Henry College is unlike anything I have heard of or experienced at other colleges or universities. A small college still in its early years of operation, the majority of students there are bonded closely to each other and to the college itself. Even those who are most attached to PHC realize that it is far from perfect, as are the people working at and attending the college, and no doubt there are students in attendance who would provide harsh criticism of the institution; however, most of the students report tremendous growth--spiritually, academically, and socially--during their years at PHC.
