Am learning a lot
At Hillsdale I have been stretched in my knowledge. Many people think that at a Private “church” school you don’t learn as much as others who attend a different school, well I beg to differ. I have really expanded my knowledge since I have been enrolled at Hillsdale. I am challenged in all of my courses be it bible courses or others. I am most of the time excited to go to class to see what else I can learn!
Am enjoying being here
I really enjoy Hillsdale. It has to be something because number one it is in the city and I am definitely not a city girl. I love the country side, and I had always said I wouldn’t be in a city. And number two it is 1500 miles away from my home and family. I am very much a family person so I like to be near my family, but I went and continue to leave my family to go back to Hillsdale for school, and that says a lot about how much I enjoy being at the school. Every year I get homesick and I wonder why I continue to go that far away for school, and then I think about how much I enjoy it, and how I think I would regret it if I transferred back home.
Bang for the buck
I do think that Hillsdale is worth the cost to attend. If I didn’t I would go back to a college that is much cheaper back at home in Idaho. It is a private college and the education received at Hillsdale is very much compatible with that of other colleges. This may not matter to some, but to others like myself who are coming from out of state it may, but there is not an out of state tuition. That caught my attention coming from out of state. Hillsdale is definitely “Bang for the buck.”
Tips for prospective students
Remember to have fun, but do it within the rules of Hillsdale. Hillsdale does have stricter rules than the big universities and such and those rules should be followed. You may disagree with some of the rules, but if you follow them your life and those around you will be much easier. Don’t try to see how much you can get away with because sooner or later you will get caught and there will be consequences. With all that aside, I think the best tip that I can give to prospective students is to not procrastinate. Things will pile up on you and before you know it everything is due and you have to do it all at once. Lastly, as the president of Hillsdale always says, “GO TO CLASS!”
Great for these types of students
Hillsdale is a great college, but it isn’t meant for everybody. If you want to take it easy in college then Hillsdale is not meant for you. If you want to party it up, and mess around with drugs, alcohol, sex, and anything of the sort, then Hillsdale is not for you. But if you want to be challenged intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally, then you will find that at Hillsdale. If you want to be a part of a big “family” who look out after each other, and hold you accountable then you should consider joining the Hillsdale family, we would love to have you!

Am learning a lot
This college provides a variety of new knowledge for me. I have learned a lot in my two years of being here, and will learn a lot more as I finish my next semester. You have to take a bible class each semester, but they are very interesting. The professor's make them very enjoyable to be in.
Am enjoying being here
I enjoy being at Hillsdale because of the atmosphere that has been provided for me and every other student that goes here. It is an easy, layed back, small college, so it isn't hectic like a major University.
Bang for the buck
The school is somewhat expensive, but 89% of students recieve financial aid. This makes the school much cheaper, sometimes only in the low thousands. You get a great learning experience for the knowledge that these professors teach you.
Tips for prospective students
I would definitely tell students that this is a great college to go to. It is small and all of the professors are very friendly and put you at ease. I would recommend this college to upcoming high school seniors because of the atmosphere everyone provides.
Great for these types of students
Obviously, it is an excellent choice for students that want to major in ministry or other religious degrees, but it is great for other students as well. This college provides studies for every student that attends.
